How Will and Grace would it be if Ben Affleck had a junior and he'd end up with Baby Girl Damon 2.0? Awww.

It's too bad Sam and I decided to entrust our future children (children with our husbands ok??) with Clar until they're 8 years old for proper nutrition.
Allow me to share some pretty irrelevant thoughts I've been harboring for some time now.

I love pop music. The more bubble-gummy and ear bleedingly cheezy, the more I love. And yeah, I bought Bop and Tiger beat on a weekly basis back in the day so I could cut out the posters/wallet-size pictures of *Nsync, etc. for a scrapbook. (Yeah, I was one of those!) Take *Nsync for example. They were my el ultimo obsession after Pokemon and Star Wars. From the five marionettes that still are displayed publicly in my room down to the necklace pre-i'm gay Lance Bass wore in most of their promotional pictures, I looked OR asked my mom to look for. So the coolest thing about them was that they sound good live. Considering that in their Madison Square Garden concert they were either jumping, tumbling or were suspended in the air 99% of the show, they still sounded great! Out of all their contemporaries at that time, Christina, 98 Degrees, Britney (actually Britney's vocals actually benefit from her pulsating dance moves, doncha think?), they actually sound the most credible, I think? Even my brother (Jazz fusion disciple that he is), my go-to guy for a music elitist's opinion, thought they were pretty decent.

Enter the Jonas Brothers. The reason why they, along with Miley Cyrus, don't irritate me as much (or at all!) as they do most of the people in my age bracket and above is because I love that they're bringing back the happy happy joy joy bubblegum music of yore, the most uncomplicated and painless songs that were so hip pre-2003. Hell yeah, I actually spent $0.99++ to get a few songs by the JoBros on iTunes. So imagine my disappointment when I caught their first appearance on Ellen. They were as carefully calculated and charming (with promises of virginity and all) as boybands of before...with a MUCH better fashion sense.

Watch me get excited to hear them sing live for the first time. They were gonna sing "When You Look Me In The Eyes". Staple ballad required in all pop albums. Simple, catchy and it got the girls screaming. No dancing required, only them and their instruments. As soon as singer Jonas opened his mouth to sing the first few lines, my jaw dropped. IT WAS NASTY. Like when you're walking in the street and smell dog shit, cat shit and rat pee at the same time. They honestly sounded like they got kicked in the nuts after getting kicked in the nuts. As soon as the other JoBro opened his mouth to sing with the lead JoBro to produce "harmony" it was anything but. So I thought it might've been a bad day for the JoBros but I caught a couple more performances on other shows a few weeks and they still sounded terrible. After that I Youtubed a few more performances and it didn't get better. SIGH. So there, that's my irrelevant bad thought: The Jonas Brothers not only can't sing live, they sound like crap in shiny suits. How disappointing.

They really seemed like they were gonna be the heir apparent to the boyband throne (in my heart at least). That era will never come back in atleast fifteen more years when Justin Timberlake realizes he needs money and agrees to an *Nsync Reunion Tour which will be even MORE depressing since by that time Chris Kirkpatrick will just have celebrated his 51st birthday. OHWELL.

Although I've tried to set up a fund to stop the wedding of Zac Hanson, and I talk about other male celebrities every so often, the ultimate crush of my life will always,ALWAYS be...

Christian Bale. I've been obsessed with him ever since he was Laurie in Little Women and I was absolutely THRILLED to find out he had been cast as the new Batman for Batman Begins. After making latsamaneh (I'd like to think I was a part of that since I watched in the cinemas around five or six times), of course they'd make it a trilogy so I was assured two more movies with him in a smexy Bruce Wayne suit + movie promotion so lots and lots and lots of interviews. In one particular interview I heard when it was just announce he was signed on to play Batman he said, "I want to portray Batman in a way that will never allow any other actor to play him ever again." BOOM. I so don't mind watching him in a spandex Batsuit for the rest of my life. Just promise me you'll never bring Katie Holmes back. Joey Potter is just not Batman girlfriend material.

Imagine how much happier I am now that I found out that Christian Bale has now signed up for the new TERMINATOR trilogy as the adult John Connor.

Scruffy or clean-cut, suited-up or Batman suited-up, John Connor or riches to rags kid from Empire of the Sun, Christian Bale is and will still be smexy as hell and it's about time this guy gets over-exposed a bit. Just a bit.

It breaks my heart we were in Hong Kong at the same time last October and did not cross paths. Sigh. Plus he is VERY MUCH happily married to a gorgeous woman named Sibi + daughter named Emmaline.

Someone photoshop me in that picture. That kid is adorable.

PS. I just came home from watching Prince Caspian. My only note: I've never watched a movie wherein the lead actresses lack an immense amount of charisma. Seriously. Might as well cast a doorknob and a cardboard box as the two Queens and the movie would've been the same.
<lj:music>MMRP Theme Song</lj:music>

Long before I was hooked on Gossip Girl, How I Met Your Mother and One Tree Hill, there was

MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS

I'm not putting this on a link (or whatever your call it) because I want as much people to see and get nostalgic with me.

<lj-embed id="7" />

If you were as obsessed with them as I was, you'd appreciate the video. It's basically a summary of the entire movie.

It's all coming back to me now! The movie was where Red Ranger was bumped out of leader position by White Ranger (Tommy "The Hot One") therefore making Pink Ranger move on from Red's chick to White's, Yellow Ranger and Black Ranger traded races because it's more politically correct and Blue Ranger (Billy *sigh*). He sooooo started the hot geek trend. Unfortunately, if you IMDb David Yost, he didn't age so gracefully. The pinaka-champion of it all is the sky-diving montage (with matching color-coordinated parachutes) at the beginning with Stevie Wonder's version of Higher Ground in the background. Haaaaaay...they were already so ridiculously cool.

I will be on a hunt for the DVD of this. Anyone care to watch it with me when I get home?
